Garden of the Gods

Garden of the Gods is a public park located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, near Pikes Peak. It features stunning red rock sandstone formations that rise up to 300 feet high against the backdrop of snow-capped Pikes Peak. The park is a National Natural Landmark and offers hiking trails, rock climbing, visitor center, and spectacular photo opportunities. Named in 1859 by two surveyors who thought it would be "a capital place for a beer garden," the park draws nearly 2 million visitors per year and is free to the public.
